Gibson Acoustic are releasing a series of three limited edition John Lennon guitar models to celebrate his 70th birthday.
The guitars are based on Lennon's Gibson J-160E, which was bought with the help of Beatles manager Brian Epstein in 1962.
Luthiers at Gibson's Montana factory, where all acoustic Gibsons are made, have recreated the guitar in three different forms to represent the singer at different times during his career.
The Vintage Sunburst guitar is limited to just 500 guitars and is a copy of the version Lennon had in 1962 and used on recordings like 'Please Please Me', 'With The Beatles' and 'A Hard Day's Night'.
The 'Imagine' model is in 'soft white' and was personally requested by Yoko Ono to reflect this period of John's life.
The final model is the model as it is today, sitting in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH with Lennon's famous 'John and Yoko' sketches. People might know this version of the guitar from Lennon and Ono's famous bed-ridden protests of 1969.
These other two models are limited to just 70s guitars each (one for each year since Lennon's birth).
