The Oasis frontman, now with Beady Eye, performed there with Oasis in 1994.
In an email to the organisers of Save The 100 Club, Gallagher wrote: "It's a real shame. Fancied playing there again with the mighty Beady Eye."
He said the club "sorts the men from the boys" and described it as "very rock n roll".
The legendary venue could close by Christmas becasue of increasing overhead costs.
Mick Jagger, Ray Davies and Frank Black have also backed the campaign - with the Pixies frontman reportedly donating £100,000.
